Some times it is nice to flip the wedding day and do things in a bit of a different order.
Liz & Terry's Gracemere Golf Course Wedding
Liz & Terry told me at their first meeting they wanted to have their wedding their way. They didn’t want to do the normal order of events where we take off and go and do photos after the ceremony. They wanted their ceremony to finish and to continue spending this time with their family and friends. This opens up some unique opportunities.
I love a first look. It’s a special moment just between the couple (and photographers lol). For me it is nice to be able to control the moment. Let the tension build a little before the bride and groom get to see each other for the first time.
Gracemere golf course gave us a beautiful backdrop to our late afternoon wedding ceremony. And even in our current climate, it really was looking great.
I don’t normally talk much about receptions. Most of them go along as expected. This moment is for the bride and groom to enjoy themselves with family and friends. But this one… This one I wish I was doing video! Some of the best speeches I have heard. The whole crowd were in stitches. And then topped off with a special dance from the kids dedicated to Liz & Terry. It really was a special moment. And I was privileged to have been a witness to it all. I want all wedding receptions to be like this one!
